Day 3: Another tough day of skiing – 4th March 2014

By on March 4, 2014 in Austria

Low cloud and snow today. Another tough day on the slopes.

Started the day over at Rendl which is accessed from a cable car at one end of the town. The ski area is not really connected to the main ski area at St Anton but is worth exploring as it often has its own weather (which it did today as the light was a lot better at Rendl than in the main St Anton ski area) and it has some good and challenging skiing. We had variable (good to bad) skiing due to the visibility. Covered most of the ski area.

Stopped at Bifangalm, which is on the long ski out from the Rendl ski area back down to St Anton, for an excellent Apple Strudel with custard and a hot chocolate.

Skiing over at St Anton was very challenging due to poor visibility.

Finished off with a beer at the Rodel-Alm restaurant again….
