Centre Point Hotel, Abdul Razak Complex, Bandar Seri Begawan, Gadong, BE3519, Brunei

Stayed at the Centre Point Hotel for three nights.

The room was very comfortable and clean, and the hotel also served a very good breakfast.

The hotel is ideally located for one of the largest shopping malls in the area, and there is also a good sushi restaurant directly across the road.

Due to a lack of taxis in Brunei travelling from the hotel proved difficult – managed to get a cab one day, but not on the second.

The biggest problems with the hotel are the showers in the room and the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi is a complete rip-off, I can’t recall the last time I stayed in a hotel that charged so much for access (RM100, £20, US$30 for 24 hours). The showers are dangerous as they rapidly alternate between hot and cold, hence the there is the risk of a severe burn. There is also no shower curtain so the shower floods the bathroom floor, so if you don’t get scolded you are liable to break your neck as you get out and slip on the wet bathroom floor.
