The Hotel – Yarrow Resort Hotel and Conference Centre, Park City, Utah – first impressions…

By on February 14, 2015 in USA

We arrived at the Yarrow Resort Hotel and Conference Centre, Park City, Utah, later than planned due to Hertz in Las Vegas taking nearly 3 hours to supply the car we had booked.

The first impression of the hotel was that it was a bit of a building site at the front. This turned out to be correct as it has just been bought out and was due for a major upgrade in the following summer.

Check in was fine, speedy with no problems.

The first room we had was a problem due to what I can only assume was faulty electrical plant across the hall giving off a very loud hum. It would have been difficult to sleep with that noise.

We raised the issue with the front desk, and they found us a new room. The new room was much better. Nice and dark with no noise other than my snoring ski buddy (his snoring is worse than last year).

As it was so late – thanks Hertz – we decided to eat in the hotel. The food was OK, but not great.

One thing that has seriously impressed me with the hotel was the WiFi as it seemed to be available everywhere (including the room) and was very fast.

There didn’t seem to be many guests in the hotel.
