Day 5: Skiing Snowbird and Alta, Utah

By on February 18, 2015 in General, USA

Decided to ski Snowbird and Alta.

When we left Park City we keyed in ‘Snowbird’ on the SatNav and it said it was 9 miles. I knew that wasn’t right, and it wasn’t. Once it had calculated the route it was nearly 40 miles as we had to leave the Park City canyon, and drive down towards Salt Lake City, before driving up the next canyon to get to Snowbird and Alta. The drive is easy, and worth it from Park City as the skiing at Snowbird and Alta is great.

We have decided to ski both areas in one day and to take advantage of the joint lift pass (covers both areas), and to use the crossover point up the mountain.

Should be fun…
