On the road again – Johor Bahru Airport (JHB; Senia) to Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia

By on March 13, 2015 in Malaysia

Off on a trip to Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia.

The first problem of the trip – Air Asia has changed over to some sort of weird double check-in thing at the airport. I’ve already checked in online and now there is another check-in thing at the airport where you have to check-in and print your luggage tags. What used to be a simple task of queuing up, checking-in and handing over your luggage has now turned into a nightmare of computer check-ins, printing boarding passes, checking-in again, printing luggage tags, queuing up and handing over your bags and tags. How on earth can that be easier?

The result of all this is big queues and a lot of confusion with people queuing up only to have to go back and print luggage tags.

Yep, the new automated check-in really speeds things up!

Always comforting to read when travelling.

Ebola Warning

The trip just keeps getting better…. The flight was delayed for an hour….

There was free WiFi at the airport, but it didn’t work!

I still love the fact that you get to walk out to get the plane…. Makes you appreciate the size and the power of the planes….
