Day 6: Skiing Corvara and Colfosco, Italy

By on February 8, 2007 in Italy

Another fantastic day. We had a light dusting of snow overnight and clear blue skies again, with a few clouds in the morning. Perfect.

Piste conditions were excellent again.  They do such a good job with the grooming at Corvara

We headed over to the Colfosco area on the two-way lift, and passed the trailer park still full of camper vans. The two-way lift from Corvara to Colfosco. This lift is used in both directions for skiers to move between Corvara and Colfosco.

Skiing was excellent and we got in a series of good runs before stopping for coffee.  After coffee, we skied over to Col Alt lift (it is odd but the Col Alt area has many more restaurants that around the Boe lift from Corvara or even over at Colfosco).

In the afternoon the weather closed in and it started to snow.

One important fact we discovered today.  We thought the free ski bus (www.sad.it) covered the whole Sellaronda area (see the earlier post on skiing the Sellaronda – a great day out!).  However, it does not, it only covers Corvara.
