Restoran Vegetarian on Jalan Bestari, Bukit Indah, Malaysia

This evening I went to the Restoran Vegetarian on Jalan Bestari in Bukit Indah, and it turned into an interesting evening.

First, the restaurant claims it is vegetarian, so I was quite surprised to find things such as roast meats, and sweet-and-sour pork on the menu. However, it does appear that all the food was in fact vegetarian.

For the first time I have been asked not to photograph the menu, I usually do this so I can remember what I’ve ordered. The reason given was that the owner didn’t want me stealing the recipes. However, they were quite happy for me to photograph the food.

For my main course I ordered sweet-and-sour pork. It was very tasty, and quite pork like.

I also ordered a side of spring rolls, and was amazed at the number I got.

To drink I had the anti-pox fruit juice which showed a wonderful colour separation in the glass. I’m not too sure what was in the drink, but it certainly contained pineapple….
