Where is Temple Street Night Market?

I like a good night market, and I had heard good things about the Temple Street Night Market 廟街夜市場, and I was looking forward to my visit. But, I was disappointed as I found it similar to the Ladies' Market 女人街. It was full of stalls selling clothes, bags, beads, suitcases, phone covers, T-shirts, shoes, household odds and ends, and stuffed toys. Pretty much everything apart from food and furniture. The lack of food was particularly annoying as I intended to tuck into some local street food for my evening meal.

I have since been told by a local that I was on the wrong street and that the real night market has many vendors selling street food. I found this news odd as I was on Temple Street. Has the Temple Street Night Market 廟街夜市場 moved to a new street?

These shots may look similar to those I took at the Ladies' Market 女人街, but I can assure you it is a different market.

So, I was disappointed with the Temple Street Night Market 廟街夜市場 and decided to head off to catch the evening light show at the harbour.
