Hong Kong — The Ladies' Market 女人街, Hong Kong
I’m not sure why it is a ladies' market
September 2015
The Ladies' Market 女人街, Hong Kong, was well organised and seemed to have a broader range of stalls and clothes than the Fa Yeun Street Market.
There were no cars or bikes as the market was on closed roads, so I found it almost relaxing wandering around the stalls. It was great to be away from the constant traffic and car horns on the main streets of Hong Kong. There seemed to be a lack of hustle and bustle about the place.
I saw stalls selling clothes, bags, beads, suitcases, phone covers, T-shirts, shoes, household odds and ends, and stuffed toys in the market — everything except food and furniture.
The main walkways between the stalls of Ladies' Market 女人街 were relatively narrow, and at times it wasn’t easy to get around.
The Market had some great T-shirt stalls.
And it seemed to be the place to get your 'I ❤️ Hong Kong' T-shirts.
The Ladies' Market 女人街 was an interesting place to visit and looked like somewhere to pick up a few bargains (some genuine and some less so). I must admit that I am not sure why it is called the Ladies' Market 女人街, though. Thoughts?
