There is an elephant in the pool

I knew there were elephants at the Tad Sae Waterfalls (ຕາດແສ້), as I had seen them mentioned on a map at the start. However, I had no idea how many there would be or what they would be doing.

As I approached the falls, I spotted an elephant in the middle of a pool with several people on its back.
In fact, it was two elephants.
The elephants didn’t seem to mind being in the water and having people climb all over them.
And they were very popular with the tourists.
After watching the elephants at the falls, I moved on to watch another popular activity — “jumping the falls”.
