Malaysia — Hill Top Travel and Tour, Cameron Highlands, Malaysia
Taking a tour of the Cameron Highlands
August 2015
When I was in the Cameron Highlands, I decided to do something a little different (for me) — take a guided tour of the area.
The company I picked was Hill Top Travel and Tour — which now seems to have gone out of business as it no longer has a website.
The company offered nine tours, and the one I decided to go with was the 'Rafflesia and Mossy Forest Adventure’, which included:
- Travel by 4×4 off-road drive vehicle
- Visit an Orang Asli Settlement Visit
- Blowpipe hunting demonstration
- Jungle Trekking for 2–3 hours
- Rafflesia — The world’s biggest flower (seasonal)
- Visit the Boh Tea plantation and factory
- A drive to the top of Gunung Brinchang (6,666 feet — ca. 2 km)
I picked the tour because of the visit to the BOH Tea plantation (BOH was my daily tea in Malaysia) and the chance to see a Rafflesia.
