Why are there so many old Land Rovers in the Cameron Highlands?

What was it with Land Rovers in the Cameron Highlands?

Did they buy a job lot?

And now they have stopped making them; what will they do?

I have never seen so many Land Rovers in one place. In fact, in the first two hours I was in the Cameron Highlands, I saw more Land Rovers than I have in my life to date!

And the Land Rovers were in a wide range of states of repair.

Some appeared to have been dumped by the side of the road and were now slowly being consumed by vegetation.

Others were still in use, hauling things up and down the steep roads of the Highlands.

All very odd.
