Should I fly from Malaysia to Austria to go skiing?

In 2014, I was living and working in Malaysia and a friend messaged me to ask if I wanted to go skiing in St Anton, Austria.

It was a long way to travel for a week of skiing. I would be travelling from a tropical climate to a cold and snowy Europe, and then there was the jet lag. Would I be able to ski with severe jet lag (I suffer from shocking jet lag)? Would I be able to cope with the cold after the hot tropical climate?

I decided there was only one way to find out — I had to go for it!
