Start of a ‘road trip’ through SE Asia and a bit of Australia

My ‘world tour’ of South East Asia (and a bit of Australia)

In August 2015, I headed out on a significant trip through SE Asia, plus a brief visit to SW Australia.

Over six weeks, I travelled to Langkawi, Malaysia; Cameron Highlands, north of KL, Malaysia; Perth, Australia (yes, I know Perth is not in SE Asia); Bali, Indonesia; Hong Kong; Hanoi, Vietnam; Halong Bay, Vietnam; Saigon, Vietnam; Siem Reap, Cambodia; Luang Prabang, Laos; and Bangkok, Thailand.

And my trip started at Senai International Airport (JHB), with a flight to Langkawi.

But why Langkawi? Well, I had heard that it was a beautiful tropical island with stunning beaches and great hotels, so I thought I had better go for a look.
