Vietnam — Ha Long Bay, Vietnam — part 2 of 3
Exploring Ha Long Bay, Vietnam
September 2015
The photographs below were taken on the trip to Surprise Cave, Ha Long Bay.
Everywhere I looked in the bay, there was another stunning view.
I was always surprised by the number of other boats in the bay. I counted 11 other boats when we moored up mid-channel for the night.
On the last day of the trip, we visited Surprise Cave.
What I like about the first photograph, besides the fact that it shows the beauty of the bay, is the set of mysterious feet hanging over the edge of the cliff towards the top of the frame.
These aren’t actual feet but part of a rock formation. But now that I’ve pointed them out, I bet you can’t stop looking at them and think they are feet.
The views from the cave highlighted how famous Ha Long Bay is as a tourist attraction.
Along with half a dozen other boats, we moored up and took the small craft to the jetty at the cave.
There was constant movement and shuffling of ferry craft around the jetty at the cave.
It was a memorable trip to Surprise Cave, and I will share more photographs of the visit in a later post.
